Following the former president’s arraignment at a Miami, Florida, courthouse, social media footage showed the moment an anti-Trump protester was intercepted and detained for charging the motorcade with a protest placard.
Former President Trump was taken into custody and entered a not-guilty plea to 37 federal counts relating to his possession of White House records during his presidency at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
As the former president was being transported out of the courthouse, a guy dressed in prison attire raced in front of his car with a huge protest banner.
To clear the path for the convoy to proceed, security tackled the man right away.
As police detained the demonstrator, video captured another man slapping him in the face with what looked to be a Trump hat.
The demonstrator identified himself to the Independent as retired Cuban-American Dominic Santana before being detained.
“Hopefully, he will eventually need to be imprisoned. He ought to have been imprisoned a long time ago. He has escaped punishment. He either graduated from the New York School of Rats or has a master’s degree and is an expert spinner. On this one, he’s gonna spin it,” Santana remarked.
“He has a strong case to make. He doesn’t require attorneys to represent him. He already is aware of the spin,” he continued.
At the arraignment, hundreds of pro-Trump fans and counter-protesters arrived there, and there were many incidences where they battled. The bomb squad was once contacted to look into a suspicious object, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
A second guy arrived at the courthouse carrying a pig’s decapitated head on a pole with an American flag protruding from its mouth. He remained silent when asked if he agreed or disagreed with the accusations made against Trump.
To the press, he added, “I am here to have fun.”
