Rapper and actor 50 Cent has voiced his criticism of California’s decision to allocate taxpayer funds for healthcare services to undocumented immigrants. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, he expressed his confusion over the move, citing the substantial cost to taxpayers and highlighting the lack of health insurance for veterans. He called on MSNBC anchor Ari Melber for assistance in understanding the decision.
In his Instagram post, 50 Cent included an image of California Governor Gavin Newsom above a caption that mentioned California becoming the first U.S. state to offer health insurance to all illegal migrants.
On Monday, California expanded its health insurance coverage through the state’s Medi-Cal program to approximately 700,000 undocumented immigrants aged 26 to 49.
This decision comes amid a backdrop of a high number of encounters with illegal migrants at the southern border. The federal government has reported over 2 million such encounters in fiscal year 2023 and more than 2.2 million in fiscal year 2022, as per data from Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
California has a history of extending healthcare coverage to undocumented immigrants. In 2015, then-California Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation allowing undocumented migrant children to qualify for Medi-Cal. In 2019, Governor Newsom expanded the coverage to include undocumented individuals aged 19 to 25. The recent expansion further broadens the scope, now covering undocumented immigrants aged 26 to 49.
Newsom’s office defended the move, stating that in California, they believe everyone should have access to quality, affordable healthcare coverage, regardless of income or immigration status. They see this expansion as a way to ensure that families and communities in California are healthier and better equipped to access the care they need.
Veterans need to be the frist in line to get service. Only if a emergency life threatening comes in will be frist one to get help.

Why do the ones who break our laws get more privileges than veterans who put their lives on the line??? It irks me when they say “free” services. Taxpayers pay for it. I would say “taxation without representation” except the people of CA apparently are in favor of these policies so they keep people like Newsome in power. Gavin Newsom and his cronies are just part of the ridiculous problems we are facing in America today. It’s a total disgrace. And I see it as treason to all Americans. Biden has broken his oath of Office, and his duty to keep America safe Every day since he took Office by keeping the boarder open and Catering to illegals from all over the world. While he robs the taxpayer of their hard earned money and turns his back on Americans such as veterans, who have served this country well. It is my opinion that most Democrats should be removed from their offices immediately. While there is still America that can be saved.
