The Left’s Take on ‘Robin Hood’ is Completely Backwards

Let’s face it — most Americans have had little to no exposure to the iconic tale of Robin Hood outside of a Disney movie. However, this doesn’t stop the political left from fancying themselves as the character’s successor by “stealing from the rich” and “giving to the poor.”

Ironically, the 2010 live-action adaptation starring Russel Crowe is far more true to the original story. Rather than stealing from the rich, the bow-and-arrow virtuoso actually stole from feudal lords and returned funds to taxpayers — a quasi-capitalist rebellion against an over-powered government.

Taking this irony even further is the fact that this is exactly what President Donald Trump and the Republicans in Congress did in December when they voted to approve sweeping tax cuts for all Americans.

We’re not exactly sure where the content creator behind this image got the idea that allowing people to keep more of their own money is somehow stealing from them, seeing as it does precisely the opposite.

But alas — we only expect the left to continue making this absurd argument.
