California’s Senator Dianne Feinstein has been in politics for a while, and she’s been able to get away with a LOT during her tenure as a lawmaker.
As one of the leading voices on the left, and perhaps one of the most powerful members of the Democratic “establishment,” Feinstein has most recently lead the charge against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Having obtained a letter alleging Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a woman in the early 80s, the senator held onto the damning accusation for a full six weeks right up until it was time to call for a vote.
We all know how that turned out. By tossing due process and the time-honored tradition of presuming all accused as innocent until proven guilty, a typically non-partisan process has been reduced to the most tense political event of the year.
It’s worth remembering that this is the same senator who accidentally hired a driver who happened to be a Chinese spy for a very long time. Naturally, this warranted no investigation into the senator’s activity’s from any government agency whatsoever.
Senator Feinstein is the perfect example of leftist lawmaking — standards only apply when you have an ‘R’ next to your name.
