President Joe Biden defended his plan to release an additional $15 million in oil reserves to keep gas prices down two weeks before the November elections on Wednesday.
Reporters at the White House asked Biden about his decision to release additional oil from the national reserves, wondering if his choice was political.
“Not at all,” he said. “Look, it makes perfect sense; how long have I been doing this? It has nothing to do with politics.”
Biden mocked Republicans for criticizing him for reopening oil reserves, despite the fact that he has approved the release of over 200 million barrels.
When pressed to respond to Republicans, he said, “Where have they been for the previous four months? That’s my reaction.”
Republicans have called on Biden to do more to encourage and open up domestic production of oil.
“The problem is that these guys are sleeping,” he went on to say of Republicans. “I’m not sure where they have been.”
Biden lied and claimed that he did nothing whatsoever to slow or stop US oil production.
“Let me dispel some myths: My government has not halted or reduced US oil production,” he stated.
However, according to the Associated Press, Biden has leased fewer acres for oil and gas development during his first two years compared to any other regime since World War II’s end.
Biden also issued a Government order freezing gas and oil leases, which has been challenged in court.
The president also froze oil production leases inside the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, which had been opened up for operation by previous President Donald Trump.
Biden also commanded the Keystone XL oil pipeline, that would have transported 830,000 barrels of crude oil from Canada to the U. S., to be halted.

Hey Joe, why don’t you explain to the country how you sent a million barrels of oil from our strategic reserves to China, that your son the crackhead is personally involved with.
