Modern feminism, in contrast to its earlier forms, its primarily communicated through social media virtue signaling. Among the messages spread is the idea that straight white males have been the world’s oppressors for so long, that it’s only fair that they take a back seat in every socio-political discussion going forward.
The irony with this picture is that, while the male in question is stating his intention to do just this, his standing in front of other women while holding up a large sign declaring this intention proves that modern feminism is more about pandering than it is about accomplishing anything of substance.
If the man really wanted to “shut up and listen,” why is he at this demonstration at all? Isn’t that in effect de-platforming the very people he believes he’s helping?
Then again, when you go around trying to find logic in the modern feminist movement, this is probably the closest you’ll ever get…
