Twitter’s Authoritarian Censorship Reaches a New Level

Full confession: We love it when modern artists take old-timey black and white photographs and then colorize them. It gives us a look into the past that just simply wasn’t possible through grainy, black and white photos.

This meme, for example, uses shocking robin’s-egg blue to contrast with white in ways that cause a rush of sensational emotive… oh, ok, we’re kidding. We don’t know much about artsy stuff around here.

The colors in this meme look real good! That’s about the extent of our artistic criticism abilities. It’s also spot-on in comparing the overlords of Twitter to some specific historic figures who don’t need to be named. When Congress held a hearing on tech censorship this week, the CEO of Twitter didn’t even bother to show up.

That’s how arrogant he is – and how powerful he apparently thinks he is as well. Even the Mafia has showed up for congressional hearings in the past when they received a subpoena from Congress. But not the CEO of Twitter, who has been censoring the President of the United States in an election year.
