On Independence Day, Democratic Representative Cori Bush of Missouri remarked that it was a perfect time to demand restitution.
“The Declaration of Independence was drafted by slave owners and did not see Black people as fully human. The time is now to call for reparations,” Bush tweeted this week.
In response to the left-leaning lawmaker’s tweet, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton referred to her as an “anti-American extremist.”
“Ma’am, why don’t you just leave if you detest America so much? It’s all up to you. And Delta is prepared when you are,” tweeted Todd Starnes, a conservative radio presenter.
The “Reparations Now Resolution,” which was promoted by Bush and other reparations proponents, states, among other things, that the House “acknowledges that it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to make available reparations, in any and all needed forms, including money damages, to remedy the ongoing impacts resulting from infractions, by the US Government, of Black people’s human fundamental rights of freedom and self-determination from discrimination, which includes with regards to housing, health, life, water and sanitation, education, security of a person, and a healthy environment.”
Representative Jamaal Bowman, a Democrat, wrote on Twitter this week: “This July 4th, we need to remember the fact that we stand upon stolen land, labored by enslaved Africans, and reaffirm ourselves to the battle for equality, liberty, & justice so that these principles are available to everyone, rather than only a privileged few. Until everyone is genuinely free, we are not free.”
Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida, said individuals who disagree with the American flag, patriotic anthems, and USA chants and see the nation as a wicked entity built on stolen property are “nuts.”
Rubio said on Twitter that “we have many powerful people today who view America as an evil country built on land that was stolen and who feel offended by our own flag, anthems of patriotism & chants of USA. Please make certain your children are aware that, despite their fame, wealth, or fancy degrees, these people are likely insane.”
Definately agree with Rubio when he told these Black Demon-Rats, if you don’t like it here, Delta leaves every 15 minutes!
Plus Rubio is right when he says, these people are Insane!
You would think the people in Missouri would be smarter than to vote for a Woke Moron, like Cory Bush!
With these people, I often wonder if the Civil War was a mistake?
Blacks still remain one of the biggest problems this country has, and it’s getting worse everyday.
The African Nation started slavery by enslaving their tribal rivals and selling them to the buyers in Young America. If any reparations are to be made it should be to the American Indian. The blacks did not have land stolen from them and then moved them to reservations. Maybe we should reclaim all of the Tribal land take it from whoever claims it now – seize it and return title of it all to the Indians who were there from the beginning of recorded time

Cori Bush is a racist!!! Reparations were made by the 600,000 whites who fought to free her ancestors!!!!!!!!!! They were killed, injured severely, but they fought to free the slaves. The Muslims still have slaves from Africa.

I am not a racist. I am white and come from a very poor farmer family and a railroader family, blue collar. Our family tree is comprised of people who have worked HARD all their lives to educate themselves and their children, each generation doing better than the one before. Working hard now to combat WOKE doctrine that confronts our children daily trying to take their minds hostage in so many ways. I can guarantee there were no slave owners in our family tree. I have raised my children to respect all people regardless of race, color or creed. Why would I be forced to pay for reparations through taxation especially for a generation so far removed from slavers. I never have never understood why people who have money and hate this country continue to live here. I do believe this is truly because they are well aware of the living situations in their native countries. To you, the whiners, isn’t that the truth? Where would you be happy?
If any one deserves reparations it’s the Native Americans not the blacks!
Isn’t it ironic that blacks conveniently forget that it was originally other blacks who brought slaves to this country; and the slaveowner who owned the largest “stable” of slaves was a black plantation owner? And, if all ancestors of slaves should be given reparations, anyone that is Irish should also get reparations. In all fairness, NO ONE should be getting reparations unless they are currently alive and were PERSONALLY bought and held as slaves; and as far as I know, the only people that would include are those who were/are being held as sex slaves by human traffickers.
