If you had the chance to check out the controversial ad dominating the internet right now, you got to see all the baseless attacks on the very concept of masculinity itself. Now, proponents of the ad, which had nothing to do with shaving products and everything to do with corporate virtue signaling, like to say that if you’re offended, the ad is about you. Now, that isn’t an argument or anything, but they’re saying it anyway.
One of our biggest problems with the ad was the use of the phrase “boys will be boys”, which was said by a row of stereotypical out-of-shape middle-aged men hovering over grills all while ignoring young children beating the crap out of each other. Yes, boys like to play rough, and they grow into men who may feel the need to be strong and assertive. Apparently, that’s the most evil thing in the universe.
You know what that masculine energy translates into? People like the individual show in the picture here. Sure, feminists can drone on about male fantasies, but they ignore the fact that this is one of them. Men like being heroic, and it’s their biological makeup that makes them aspire to be like this.
Get it together, Gillette. Who are you even advertising for?
