Mainstream feminists today are convinced that they are fighting the good fight against evil, cis-gendered, fat-cat capitalists who are able to horde their riches because of the patriarchal system they subject everyone else to living under.
The reality is that the excesses of feminism harm women just as much as they slight straight white males — the group that falls on the very bottom of the intersectional totem pole. Impressionable women are told that family values are suspect. They’re told to be skeptical of their loving fathers for being masculine — and their loving mothers for being feminine.
The result of this is pure cultural confusion.
Let’s be clear about this — almost no one today is making the argument that women belong in the kitchen. There are, however, feminists who believe that women who don’t like how men disproportionately receive harsher prison sentences are part of this massive patriarchal conspiracy.
It’s time to be very honest about what feminism’s real enemies are.
