The Young Turks might want to seriously consider firing whoever puts up their polls on Facebook, because the results are starting to make them look like a conservative outlet.
In this poll, the progressive media outlet asked its followers to sound off on who they found to be more trust worth — President Donald Trump, or the disgraced former FBI director he fired.
For those unfamiliar with TYT, this poll should have went completely in the other direction. Led by host and founder Cenk Uygur, the online streaming network panders exclusively to left-leaning viewers. To be fair, it bills itself as a progressive outlet, so it’s not like the New York Times in the sense that it’s pretending to be something it’s not. Nevertheless, it’s pretty funny when the post a poll to verify its stance only to find that an army of right-wingers hijacked the results.
This isn’t the first time TYT posted a poll that backfired like this. Shortly after the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida was reported, the network posted a poll asking its viewers to sound off on whether or not they supported a ban on “assault weapons” — the results looked a lot like this.
In doing this, conservatives may actually be doing TYT’s audience a favor by showing them that people with different opinions do in fact exist. Chances are they won’t see it that way…
