The Mask Stuff is Getting Almost Too Stupid to Bear

There are really only three possible explanations for why the Wuhan coronavirus is still spreading in the US. The first possibility is that China (or someone) is still deliberately spreading it in the states. The second is that hospitals and testing centers are main vectors for spreading the virus. And the third is that we actually still don’t know how the virus is spreading.

The new case rates have basically been in a plateau for months now. We should have seen case rates fall off a cliff after the two-and-a-half months of shutdowns, if the virus was actually being spread by person-to-person contact. But that didn’t happen. We basically locked down for three full generations of the virus’ lifespan – and it’s still spreading on a flat-line graph (which viruses don’t do).

If it was being spread mainly in bars or by people going to the beach with their kids, the graphed rates would have started climbing after states reopened. Again, they’re not climbing – they’re flat.

The most logical conclusion is probably that hospitals and testing centers are the main spreaders at this point. Oh, and as this meme notes… masks are really dumb and can’t possibly work.
