How many times have you heard progressive Democrats complain that the richest people in America don’t pay their “fair share” in taxes?
The answer is a lot. And, considering the fact that the Democratic Party is only set to drift even further to the left as time goes on, don’t expect them to adopt a new slogan as liberals reveal themselves to actually be socialists.
However, this line of logic falls apart whenever President Donald Trump criticizes NATO — primarily over the fact that the other members of the alliance spend a far lower percentage of their GDP on maintaining the collective defense than the United States does. This isn’t just Trump saying stuff, which he admittedly has a knack for doing — the president’s criticism is exactly correct.
Let’s be clear: the United States doesn’t need NATO — it’s the other way around. Considering that the U.S. provides the majority of the manpower, funding, and technology to keep the project alive, asking other member states to cough a little bit more isn’t asking a whole lot…
