Republicans Move To Impeach Biden–Will It Work?

Articles of impeachment against President Biden based on his “unconstitutional failure of responsibility at the southern border” were presented by Representative Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) on June 13. To require a vote on the issue this week, the congresswoman submitted an unexpected privileged move.

The Hill reported that House Democrat Chair Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) said Democrats will introduce a move to postpone the resolution, preventing it from coming up for a vote.

“As opposed to working together with President Biden on answers to the issues which matter most to the American people, such as generating jobs, decreasing costs, and enhancing health care, the extreme House Republicans are organizing unfounded political actions that accomplish nothing to assist actual individuals and only are used to get themselves a lot of attention,” Sams claimed in a statement.

Biden is charged with misconduct and misuse of authority in the resolution.

In the first article, Boebert stated that Biden “has purposefully facilitated the complete and also total invasion of our southern border,” having “intentionally ruled over an executive branch which has constantly, overtly, and repeatedly violated Federal laws concerning immigration by going after an aggressive, open-borders agenda.”

In addition, the resolution declares that Biden:

  • “More than 2,000,000 illegal aliens were intentionally and knowingly released into the innermost parts of the United States and without any intent or capability to make sure that they would make an appearance in immigration court.”
  • “Ended the Migrant Safeguards Protocols, which had mandated that asylum seekers from other countries remain in Mexico while their cases were handled by the Department of Homeland Security.”
“refuses to help local and state law enforcement agencies secure the border.”
  • “While being aware that they did not qualify for asylum, allowed illegal aliens to enter the United States as asylum seekers.”

Boebert stated in the second article that Biden has “abandoned his responsibilities of making sure that the laws have been faithfully carried out and respected by sitting over an executive branch which has constantly overtly, and persistently declined to enforce the Country’s immigration laws and protect the border,” adding the fact that the president “has endangered both the security of the United States and the safety and health of the American people.”

“Joe Biden is incapable and unwilling to honorably carry out the duties of President of the United States,” according to a statement released by Boebert this past week. “It is essential that the House of Representatives move to impeach President Biden and hold him responsible for his flagrant breaches of the oath of office in order to maintain, protect, and defend the Constitution.”

A president may only be removed from office if Congress can prove that he has engaged in “treason, bribery or other serious crimes and misdemeanors.”

Republicans presently in charge of the House would have to decide whether or not to impeach Biden. The Democrat-controlled Senate will have to take them into consideration at a trial with the House prosecuting the case if a majority of the House votes in favor of bringing charges. The president would be cleared if less than two-thirds of senators voted to convict.

Despite the impossibility of the House voting to remove Biden from office, Boebert hinted that there could still be hope for Democrats to join forces for the good of the nation, according to The Hill.

“Let’s see. We have the chance to put a check and balance to the invasion that is now taking place, and I am hopeful that both Democrats and Republicans alike can realize the invasion that is taking place at our southern border and see that the laws of our country are not being properly enforced.”

  1. Any democrats that don’t vote to IMPEACH Biden will pay dearly at the polls, for not protecting our country and citizens. Vote Republican if you care about your country. Democrats are “TRAITOR’S”!

  2. “Biden braces for impeachment impact”? Does that mean he’ll protect his exit hole at the seat of his pants and get royally screwed like Donald Trump has? I doubt it!

  3. Any GOP politician or RINO that does not vote to impeach Joe should be forced out of the Party they are not welcome in the GOP – we do not need left leaning Republicans or RINO’s in the Party. The entire administration is corrupt and criminal and has to go inorder for Our Country to survive
