TIME is the most widely distributed news magazine in the world, and the editors still insist there is no leftist slant in its editorial content. To be sure, it isn’t exactly a problem if it is — the problem is that no one inside of the magazine is willing to admit it.
There is no question as to where sources such as the Huffington Post stand. The same can be said for broadcasters like MSNBC (the same cannot be said for CNN). These publications will proudly boast about their progressive values, and will even go on to say they inject this perspective into their content. And, just as with right-wing sources such as Fox News, the Daily Wire, and others, there is a place for openly biased commentary — provided followers are fully aware that this is exactly what they’re getting.
TIME, like CNN, is one of those sources that will insist on being either centrist in orientation or completely unbiased at all. This dishonesty makes them even less trustworthy than left-wing mouthpieces like Vox, Slate, or even your average Tumblr poster.
