Obama Will Take Credit for Just About Anything

Former President Barack Obama is deeply disturbed by the fact that the economic miracle we’ve seen over the past two years under the Trump Administration is rightly associated with the person currently in charge.

In the run up to the 2018 midterm elections, and several times since, the former president has taken the stage to set the record straight: the booming economy, the historically low unemployment numbers, and everything else that has made the American experience better in recent years is all because of him.

Now, it’s true that the economy did begin to slowly rebound during Obama’s later years in office (with a Republican Congress). It was a sluggish recovery — one that that saw unemployment remain stagnant for most of it. This changed when President Trump took office and began pushing through regulatory reform as well as tax cuts. These actions supercharged the recovering economy, turning it into the boom we see today.

Then again, Obama likes to continually remind us that he personally took down Osama bin Laden — all while glossing over the fact that ISIS ran rampant under his watch, and has been strangely quiet for the past two years.
