One of the most glaring hypocrisies on the political left is the intellectual treatment of “diversity” as a constant net positive.
Wealthy left-wingers, often referred to as “limousine liberals”, are some of the loudest supporters of the phrase “diversity is a strength.” Examples include a wide range of international personalities from Harry Potter author JK Rowling to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. America’s entertainment industry is also rife with individuals who will praise migrant movements to the moon, but wouldn’t be caught dead outside of their luxurious estates.
It’s perplexing that their followers don’t take the time to dig into this very obvious paradox. The people who are telling them that is a virtue to accept anyone and everyone regardless of their cultural proclivities or personal backgrounds are some of the most selective people on the planet in their own personal lives.
If leftist elites really want to convince us that diversity is a strength in the western world, perhaps they should take a trip to the border and greet the supposedly starving migrants jumping the fence themselves. Surely, they own enough real estate to put up at least a few families themselves, right?
