Face it — you, along with the rest of us — all knew this was going to happen.
Just a few short months ago, leftist entertainers on Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, and other productions were singing Christmas carols for Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Mueller, who at the end of the day really was just a legal expert doing exactly what he was hired to do, was turned into a cultural icon. Leftist worshipped the ground he walked on, even though the Special Counsel wisely kept himself out of the limelight as much as possible. When they were convinced he was on their side, Mueller could do no wrong…until he did.
To be fair, a lot of people on both sides made some pretty silly assumptions about Mueller. While President Donald Trump’s assertion that his investigation was a “witch hunt” was based in a lot of truth, Mueller himself was never to blame for it — why would he turn down a lucrative job like this?
Now, with Mueller’s report completed and the president completely exonerated, leftist publications like Vice are saying very different things about him. His honesty has demoted him from cultural icon to Russian shill.
As the left is so fond of saying…let that sink it.
