Maybe it’s because we just can’t get away from the coronavirus panic when we turn on the news these days (it’s all that’s being covered), but this meme immediately made us think of the mainstream media.
You know, those times when you hear “there were sparks flying everywhere, bodies rolling over each other… it was a horrendous crash!” But then the reality is that someone just sort of gently fell off their bike and they were fine.
Just this week, the media accused President Donald Trump of murder for correctly pointing out that the
anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine has been used to cure some coronavirus patients. But then someone in Arizona saw the word “chloroquine” on his aquarium cleaner, ate it and died. Oops.
Nothing about the story turned out to be true from the way that outlets like CNN reported it. And then there were the reports about the “first child in the US” to die from the coronavirus. It turned out that the “child” was a 17-year-old who died from something else – not coronavirus.
(To date, no child in any country has died from this virus.)
So… yeah… go ahead and tell us more about the fiery crash, reliable news people!
