Imagine a World with No More Dumb Celebrities

This meme is so silly and on-the-nose that it practically made us laugh out loud. The screen captures, of course, are from “The Return of the King,” the third volume of the epic “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. The reference, though, is to our dumb celebrities during the Chinese virus pandemic.

The whole “Lord of the Rings” series would have ended very differently if King Theoden of Rohan had simply started singing that dumb John Lennon song about communism when Gondor lit the beacons. The absurdity of this meme is just too much!

Yet… that’s pretty much exactly what a bunch of Hollywood celebrities did when the flu lockdowns started in California. They retreated to their mansions, hired illegal aliens to deliver their groceries and booze, and posted videos of themselves singing “Imagine.”

It’s pretty eye-opening when you think about it. It turns out that the people who really matter and accomplish things of value in our country are not the celebrities. It’s the truck drivers, the people restocking store shelves every night, and the people with the ability to actually make things like respirators and masks.

Imagine a world with no more dumb celebrities!
