Well, this is a bit of a head-scratcher isn’t it?
As the ideological showdown between the Trump administration and Democrats in Congress over immigration reform continues to drag on, those who sympathize with those participating in the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program have been quick to point out that those affected by the outcome are in the United States through no fault of their own.
While it’s a purely emotional argument designed merely to pull on the heart strings, we have to admit it’s fairly effective. After all, children who came into the United States simply by following their illegal immigrant parents have technically not committed any crime. In most cases, it’s true that America is the only country they have ever known. So, why should they be punished?
Now…let’s pretend we’re talking about a fetus. It didn’t asked to be conceived, so why are irresponsible would-be parents being told that ending its life is completely acceptable — and in some cases, celebrated?
