The brand-new “Barbie” live-action film will debut in theaters throughout the nation on July 21.
The much-awaited Warner Bros. movie, starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, is estimated to gross over $80 million solely on opening day.
However, there has been a recent pattern of box office failures for movies.
But not just any films; awakened films particularly.
Think of the Pixar movie “Elemental.” The resulting three-day opening was the second-lowest in the studio’s history.
Why did it fail considering that it had a $200 million budget and that $40 million was predicted to be the opening weekend take?
Could the non-binary nature of one of the characters and their usage of they/them pronouns have anything to do with it?
What about the Disney adaptation of “The Little Mermaid”?
Its box office results were likewise considered a flop.
Could it be connected to the rapid replacement of Ariel’s signature fiery red hair?
Whatever the case, the facts are facts, and many of these explicitly woke movies have appalling box office outcomes.
Considering the new Barbie movie also has a woke agenda and Dave Rubin, for one, is not really excited about it, it won’t be surprising if it does.
According to a tweet by Mary Margaret Olohan with a photo of Hari Nef, the actress cast in the part of the female doctor, the movie “includes a biologically male actor that identifies as a woman portraying a female doctor.”
“I do not have any issues with the trans person becoming an actor,” adds Rubin.
But he questions, “Unless they are attempting to confuse kids, there are a gazillion girls out there that would give anything to be featured in the ‘Barbie’ movie as an actual girl. So exactly why do they go to such lengths to have a biological boy represent a girl who is intended to be totally a girl in this ‘Barbie’ movie?”
These people are [sick] every sane person needs to make these actors and actresses and producers and directors pay the ultimate price at the box office don’t pay to see this trash and keep your kids as far away from these lunatics as possible.
