Dear Media: Now Is Your Big Moment to Rise Above Petty Partisanship

…aaaand… the MSM blew it. That didn’t take long. You only had to do one thing, mainstream media: Just report the facts and help keep the public calm about the latest farm-to-table virus from China.

If the media had done that, they could have gained just a smidgen of respect back from American viewers.

But now, we have to have 24/7 panic alarms from the media as they blow the Chinese coronavirus all out of proportion and try to score cheap political points against President Trump.

Our media is a huge dumpster fire. When presented with the opportunity to jump out of the dumpster, they instead jump in another dumpster and keep fanning the flames.

Anyway, as this meme notes, the coverage of the Chinese coronavirus and President Trump’s response to it seems a wee bit different than the swine flu and Barack Obama’s response to that. The media ignored that story so much that many people forgot about it.

Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden both seemed to have a senior moment in the last debate when they were asked about the swine flu – but it wasn’t a senior moment. Nobody remembers it because the media ignored it while it was going on.

There is a clear and present bias here, and Americans aren’t going to fall for it again.
