For the sake of our readers, we really hope this image doesn’t provoke any painful memories. Gas station sushi doesn’t have the reputation it does by accident…
But we’d rather attend a sushi buffet at the nearest gas station if it meant never having to deal with CNN again. After all, all the former does is make you sick (and potentially morally compromised). The latter degrades our national discourse in dangerous ways.
Remember, CNN once billed itself as the “most trusted name in news” — the centrist voice in a divided broadcasting world. Now, conservative Americans have more reason to flip on MSNBC and watch Rachel Maddow rant for an hour than listen to a single sound byte from CNN. At least MSNBC is forthcoming about its biases. After all, if they’re willing to give a devout racist like Al Sharpton a platform, it’s easy to see where they stand. The network is nothing if not honest. CNN can’t make that same claim.
CNN does have its uses, we guess. Every time a clip from Don Lemon goes viral, President Donald Trump’s approval goes up. So, we can’t be too upset.
