California Brought To Its Knees By Starving Illegals

In order to protest what they perceive to be subpar living conditions in California, illegal aliens detained by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have started a hunger strike.

A number of illegals in DHS’s ICE facilities, run by private contractors, are reportedly on a hunger strike and claim they have been subjected to intrusive pat-downs, subfreezing temperatures, and “abhorrent” living conditions, according to recent reports out of Bakersfield and McFarland, California.

According to several of the illegal aliens taking part in the hunger strike, they should be allowed to return to American neighborhoods after being freed from DHS custody.

According to The Sacramento Bee:

“About 77 immigrants, including Coreas and Martinez, are participating in a hunger strike that started on Friday in the two immigration detention centers in the Central Valley. Following a 10-month-long continuous labor strike over receiving only $1 per day to work on facility maintenance, protesters went on a hunger strike.”

“According to the immigrants and the ACLU of Northern California, both facilities’ living conditions are “abhorrent” and “soul-crushing,” which is why the hunger strike is taking place. They claim that sometimes immigrants receive outdated and cold food and that they are not promptly attended to when a medical emergency arises.”

“Coreas and Martinez claim they are participating in the hunger strike to demand their release and the closure of the facilities.”

Thousands of illegal immigrants have been steadily released from DHS custody and returned to American neighborhoods throughout President Joe Biden’s administration.

For instance, from Jan. 1 through Jan. 30, Biden’s DHS freed 564 illegal immigrants who had either been convicted of a crime or had criminal charges pending against them. Over that time, DHS was in charge of overseeing the release of 5,590 illegal immigrants.

Biden’s DHS released roughly 26,000 illegal immigrants into American communities between December 2022 and January 2023.
