According to estimates, tens of thousands of migrants appear to be eagerly awaiting Biden’s administration to eliminate the health authority referred to as Title 42 at the US-Mexico border.
Former President Trump invoked Title 42 at the border in 2020, in the middle of the Chinese coronavirus epidemic, to guarantee that federal immigration officers could rapidly remove illegal immigrants to Mexico for the interest of public health.
On May 11, Biden will terminate Title 42 and establish new Catch and Release pipelines to speedily transport border crossers including illegal aliens into the United States’ interior. Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would, in particular, establish “processing centers” in several Central American nations to transfer would-be migrants to the United States.
According to Julian Resendiz of Border Report: “Thousands of migrants are likely camping in tents in Mexico to rush toward the border with the goal of making it into the United States’ interior when Title 42 expires.”
“This week, Juarez officials estimated that the total amount of tents outside the National Migration Institute (INM) headquarters and City Hall increased from a handful the previous week to 93 by mid-afternoon.”
“Migrants such as Janeicy, a Venezuelan mother, said they planned to wait for the May 11 reversal of Title 42 removals at the US border. But she claims that surviving on the streets of Juarez is so difficult that she doubts she can make it another two weeks.”
At the same time, officials in communities along the border in the United States are preparing for the termination of Title 42. Cities are being compelled to put public resources under strain by constructing additional shelters along with tent cities. El Paso, Texas, for example, anticipates up to 8,000 migrants arriving every day.
“We got some information yesterday that there are nearly 30,000 migrants currently waiting,” one El Paso officer told local media. “The majority are Venezuelans, who have been the most impacted by Title 42.”
According to the projections, El Paso alone may see about a quarter-million migrants arrive each month.
Another projection from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) claims that 35,000 migrants are waiting for Title 42 to storm the border in Juarez, Mexico alone.
According to Breitbart News, the government led by Joe Biden expects 400,000 migrants to come to the border each month when Title 42 expires. A monthly illegal immigration intake of this magnitude would be more than New Orleans’ permanent population.
This statistic fails to account for the tens of thousands of migrants who elude Border Patrol authorities and manage to cross over the border into the United States each month.

Nate – I’m on the checking out end of my life, but I worry about our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They don’t seem to have a wonderful, safe, free, future. If these people are not going to use their country (Mex, Honduras, Guatamala, etc), then let’s just annex it. They want to be US Citizens, then fine… Turn their home countries into US territories. If they are fleeing for their lives from their oppressive governments (asylum), then sounds like we need to help them by eliminating those oppressors back in their home countries so that they can return and have a peaceful life. It’s all BS – most of the Mexicans who live in the US still send money and even visit/vacation on a regular basis back in their “oppressive” countries before returning back to the US again.
