The March for Life demonstrations are one of the most criminally under-covered organized marches in modern American political life. While marches promoting gun control, socialism, or something about a mysterious “wage gap” garner end-to-end press coverage, the March for Life goes largely ignored.
Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to stop the movement from gaining traction. It also doesn’t stop participants from coming up with clever ideas to express their ideas. The sign pictured here is one of our favorites.
When it comes to the abortion issue, leftists often write off the entire pro-life argument by suggesting that an unborn fetus is somehow something other than human — therefore making its death at the hands of would-be physicians somehow moral and valid. Science, they say, supports their argument, and to oppose that would be anti-science and thus — anti-intellectual.
This argument falls on its head when we consider what else has been considered “life” by mainstream science. After all, if bacteria were to be found on Mars — the scientific community of the world would come to an absolute standstill to observe the historic moment of finding life on another planet.
But, isn’t a fetus just a “cluster of cells?” Considering this, doesn’t that not make it more of a valid form of life than bacteria?
Just some food for thought.
