President Donald Trump closed out the month of July with a string of excellent headlines. The same cannot be said for the Democrats.
As this tweet mentions, the president successfully negotiated a trade deal with the European Union, proving to everyone that his tough tariff tactics actually worked. There were also signs that his foreign policy is working as well, with the rogue regime in North Korea continuing to comply with the president’s demands.
All of this was underscored by fantastic economic news — which isn’t just good for Trump, but for the country he governs. Unemployment remains at record lows, the stock market continues to perform very well, and the economy is still growing at a powerful rate that even the president’s critics can’t be upset with.
On the other side of the aisle, liberals have been busy with…well…being liberals. Citing environmental concerns based on a dubious study, California Democrats have moved to criminalize the use of straws. Yes. You read that right. Sipping your beverage of choice through a straw is about to become a crime in California.
