Much in the same vein of referring to President Donald Trump and seemingly everyone who has even a lukewarm opinion about him as Nazis, the American left has taken to comparing the simple act of maintaining the border to the Holocaust in Hitler’s Germany.
This is exactly what we’ve been hearing in reference to children arriving across the border with adults being detained separately, in accordance with a U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in 2016. These detention facilities, we are told, are just like Auschwitz: complete with arts and craft stations, comfy beds, and plenty of food.
Yup…just like Auschwitz…
Now, we’re not exactly surprised that the left has resorted to this sort of hyperbole, but we are a bit taken back by the number of people that are actually falling for this. A simple google search reveals much of the pictures of “children in cages” are actually from 2014, when then-President Barack Obama was deporting more illegal immigrants than any other president in history.
If a modern leftist were to pen a book about how to argue against any generic conservative policy, it would probably look a lot like the picture here.
