Bacon wants to establish an “independent bipartisan committee” to look into the 2020 riots, which was known as the George Floyd riots, in addition to the latest rioting that took place in downtown Atlanta. They are joined in this effort by Republican Reps. Brian Babin (Texas), Maria Salazar (Florida), and Claudia Tenney (New York).
“Despite the fact that most protesters around the nation are nonviolent, some rallies turned violent owing to Antifa’s orchestrated calls for violence,” according to Bacon.
“Many businesses were destroyed and cities were burned,” Bacon kept going, even making reference to popular videos showing individuals being harassed while dining outside restaurants, being violently compelled to bend over, or having their companies torched.
As shown by estimates from the riots, up to $2 billion in property damage was done, according to Fox News.
“Most recently, there was unrest in Atlanta, when police cars were damaged and businesses were targeted.” The Nebraska senator stated, “Just like with the Capitol incident on Jan. 6, we must uncover the facts about who is responsible for the violence and who is advancing the narrative in an effort to damage our nation and terrorize people into submission.”
Rep. Salazar called for a solution through “conversation, nonviolent protests, or at the polls,” while Rep. Babin said that it is now time to hold the “extremists” in Antifa accountable.
Rep. Tenney of New York stated, “We must better understand what transpired during these riots – who planned them, who sponsored them, as well as who led them.”
The Republican group completed its suggestion by saying, “Americans are granted the freedom to demonstrate and should feel comfortable knowing they won’t be involved in other people’s terrorist acts. They have a right to know the whole story behind what led to the brutal homegrown terrorist sieges within our cities. They also have a right to safety, regardless of their location, the time of day, or the circumstances.”

I am of the opinion that when a police officer stops you it is for a reason. You may just have a taillight out or it could be more serious. No matter the reason, you stay in your vehicle and do as you are told. If you want to get insolent their is unfortunately a price to pay for that behavior. When you abuse the police and try to avoid the arrest you put you life and the lives of others. If you obey you won’t get hurt, I don’t care what color you are.
