“North Korea Isn’t that Bad” — Trump Jr. Destroys Ignorant Tweet

It seems like nearly anyone with a half-produced blog and a left-wing worldview gets a special blue checkmark next to their name on Twitter these days, but the sacred status apparently doesn’t require too much evidence of critical thought.

According to Kate Morgan, a self-described filmmaker and critic, Americans should rethink their view of the rogue nation of North Korea because their country isn’t all too great either. Essentially, she stops just short of drawing a moral equivalency between the most oppressive regime on earth, and the nation that still stands as a shining example of how democracy, freedom, and free market enterprise can fundamentally transform society for the better.

Donald Trump Jr. wasn’t letting Morgan get away with it. Offering to cover all of the liberal writer’s expenses, the president’s son invited the Twitter user to travel to North Korea and see the oppression first-hand — since there apparently isn’t enough proof of that already.

There is perhaps no greater foil to the totalitarian hellscape that is North Korea than the United States. While one government rules through fear and coercion, the other legitimizes its rule via the consent of the governed. There are even legal ways by which to remove current leadership should it prove unsatisfactory.

The two countries literally could not be more different if they tried.
