Nancy Pelosi Suggests Tax Cuts Are Worse Than Slavery

Warning: this is going to require some serious mental gymnastics to process…

Following the U.S. Senate’s passing of the GOP’s tax reform bill, promoted by President Donald Trump as the largest tax cut in American history, Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had a very different take on allowing taxpayers to keep more of their own money.

Shooting straight past rational criticism for the admittedly imperfect legislation, the California Democrat went so far as to call the bill the worst legislation in the country’s 200+ years of existence.

Naturally, the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro was quick to point out how ridiculous this assessment is.

By Pelosi’s logic, the tax reform bill is more harmful than Americans than the Fugitive Slave Act: which at the time compelled citizens to assist with the capture of runaway slaves.

But sure, tax cuts are far worse, right?
