At the time of writing, President Donald Trump is a breath away from closing the border between the United States and Mexico. This isn’t an ideal solution, but with Mexico refusing to cooperate with Trump to crack down on illegal immigration, it may be his only choice.
Naturally, news of the closing is making a lot of people here in America pretty upset. Last week, news broke that one major export from Mexico won’t be able to cross the border either. And no, we’re not talking about violent drug cartels or massive amounts of opioids — we’re talking about avocados.
Yes — the stuff used to make guacamole that is also grown in southern California, Florida, and other locations, is the chief concern many millennials have about shutting down the border.
Considering that this is the same generation that takes people like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez serously, this isn’t terribly surprising. This image captures how the rest of the country feels about this.
