Leftists Have REALLY Changed Their Tune on the Economy

Let’s do a simple thought experiment: when was the last time you heard CNN, MSNBC, NBC, or any of the other major networks spent a considerable amount of time talking about the booming economy in the Trump era?

Don’t waste too much time on this — it might take too long.

In the late stretch of the 2016 presidential election, we were told by virtually everyone with a professional television studio that Donald Trump was going to single handedly flush the American economy down the toilet. Now, nearly two years into Trump’s presidency, unemployment numbers are still taking a nose dive, more jobs are being creative, and America is far more competitive on the world stage.

Basically, just about everything the media said about Trump and the economy was dead wrong.

Now, it was certainly fair to be skeptical of candidate Trump before he took the oath of office. Having spent his entire time in he private sector and not having to worry about economy policy at the government level, there was little reason to expect The Donald would know which way to steer the economy. But therein lies the genius behind the Trump administration — the president understands that steering the economy isn’t his job. Rather, this role belongs to American innovators themselves.
