Throughout his tenure, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment. He has supported gun rights and taken other pro-gun measures, like signing Florida’s new Constitutional Carry Bill into law. Now that the Biden administration has implemented a new “gun show loophole” law, he has come out strongly against it.
“Governor Ron DeSantis has sharply criticized President Joe Biden’s unilateral action to eliminate the so-called “gun show loophole,” characterizing it as a distortion of the facts, an assault on the Second Amendment’s guarantee of the freedom to bear arms, and a move that the courts would undoubtedly overturn. In St. Augustine, DeSantis expressed his expectation that the order will face immediate challenge and eventual cancellation, with the executive action merely functioning as a “window dressing” in the absence of a bill. DeSantis remarked, “Let us just be clear on these gun shows because you have these narratives and talking points.” “Before they sell to you, they must all run background checks.”
The fact that there is not a “gun show loophole” is significant. Gun sales at gun shows must abide by all applicable laws and regulations, just like they do anywhere else. Gun shows are subject to background check requirements if a state mandates them for all private transactions, a stupidly unenforceable regulation that has no bearing on firearms used in crime, which are primarily purchases from the black market or stolen property. There is no obligation if a state, like Alaska, does not demand this kind of verification for private transactions. This is not a way out. This complies with state legislation.
It just does not make sense to require someone to pass a background check before obtaining a firearm from a relative for official use.
Democrats frequently lament that “nobody wants to take your firearms.” Nevertheless, laws such as this one unquestionably violate the Second Amendment’s clear prohibition on the right to keep and carry arms. However, as late as 2022, Representative Mondaire Jones (D-NY) said:
Jones declared, “We will not stop until we have removed all war weapons from our communities.” “We will take all necessary steps to put an end to gun violence every single day. Whatever is necessary.

Governor DeSantis is correct to denounce the illegitimate fiat rule imposition by the Biden administration. This rule is pointless in addition to being unconstitutional. This gun restriction statute, like all others enacted since the 1934 National Firearms Act, solely impacts law-abiding citizens. Weapons have always been accessible to criminals, and with the development of 3-D printing and other technologies that support small-scale manufacture, it is now simpler than ever to break the law.
It is long past time for the Biden administration and other lawmakers who support unlawful and pointless laws and regulations to seriously consider implementing certain measures that might make violent offenders the ones who live in dread instead of their victims.

I beg to differ on your conclusions in your first paragraph. Biden was/ is wholly a puppet of Obama hence Obama 3.0. HRC would have combined a semblance of Clinton 3.0 as was planned in 2008 and some of Obama as both HRC and Obama were disciples of Saul Alinski. This would be a partnership as opposed to puppet/ master relationship.
