The Democrats are embarking on yet another one of their brilliant, doomed-to-fail election year ideas: Banning guns that are never used in the commission of crimes or murders. After several mass shootings over the past few days that all involved stolen handguns, the Democrats are coming after the sport rifles used by Trump supporters. Brilliant!
As this meme accurately points out, hammers are used in hundreds of homicides in the US every year. That’s an indisputable fact list in the FBI’s annual uniform crime statistics report. Other items that are used more commonly for murders than AR-15s include fists, feet, cars, power drills, cheese graters, and probably avocados.
But we’re all supposed to believe that the AR-15 is a menace to law abiding Americans. A career criminal who shot 10 people the other day with a stolen handgun is now allowed out on bail with an ankle monitor. Meanwhile, the January 6ers are still locked up forever for misdemeanor trespassing in the US Capitol.
The good news is that the November midterm elections are bearing down on the Democrats like a runaway freight train. They’re not going to be able to implement any sort of gun reforms before they get the boot.

True! Hammers kill more people than that gun does, or any gun. We need to ban hammers, stones, knives, cars, shovels, fire pokers, glass, and a lot more because they all kill!
