Biden Team Struggles To Avoid Open Border Questions

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, responded to questions about if the DHS knows who or where the over 600,000 got-aways are by saying that the Biden govt. boosted the number of Border Patrol officers as well as other border measures and “gotaways have been a challenging issue” in all administrations.

“Some of the criticism included, for example, the 600,000+ [got-aways], persons who came into this country but did not undergo the process of asking asylum,” host Jose Diaz-Balart questioned. “Do you have any idea of the whereabouts or identity of those who arrive here but fail to apply for asylum?”

“So, this is the first time since 2011, the president of the U.S. successfully submitted a budget that raised the number of Border Patrol officers,” Mayorkas said. “We have 300 additional Border Patrol agent eligible slots this year than we did last year, which is a first. We are progressing quite well. We will continue to invest significant resources in enhancing our border security.”

“Do you know where they are or who they are,” Diaz-Balart continued.

“So, got-aways have been a difficulty every year regardless of the government, whether it was more than a million in the early periods of this dept’s leadership or it was hundreds of thousands throughout the following years,” Mayorkas retorted. “To improve our visibility and interdiction capabilities, however, we are devoting personnel, material resources, and a growing dependence on and use of modern technologies.”

  1. Mayorkas, in my opinion, is one of the biggest BS artists of our government ever recorded. He never answers any questions, he just filibusters and never answers any yes or no question at all.
