President Joe Biden believes “we must transition away from depending on fossil fuels,” but it won’t happen in the near future, said White House Top Advisor and Infrastructure Execution Coordinator Mitch Landrieu in response to a question about whether he believes the United States may need to rely on them for longer than he would like.
“What are President Biden’s intentions for fossil fuels,” asked co-host Don Lemon. “Is he admitting that the United States could have to rely on them for more time than he would like?”
“I believe what the President said last night is something that everyone understands, that climate change is an existential issue,” Landrieu retorted. “We’re both from Louisiana, Don, and we’re seeing the shore go away. Everyone in the nation, including us, was affected by Hurricane Katrina, as were the wildfires in the west, the water shortage, tornadoes, etc. We have a huge issue. Additionally, we must develop a clean energy economy and stop relying on fossil fuels. Now that that has been stated, the President conceded last night that we won’t stop utilizing oil and gas anytime soon, and I believe that was the point he was trying to make. And I believe that it is very necessary to ensure that we don’t leave any community behind as we go from where we are to where we need to be. States like Louisiana, which are oil and gas states, will keep pumping oil for a little longer. But in the meanwhile, we must prepare for the enormous difficulties that lie ahead. Because climate change is an existential issue and burying your head in the sand won’t make it go away, failing to do that would be political malpractice.”
Mankind has experienced Huge climate changes over history, no matter what happens, we will survive. Fossil fuel’s are a minor reason for the change, it’s just that time in history
You are totally right. The weather has always changed from one decade to another. We have had extreme weather and we’ve had mild weather. We had an ice age thousands of years ago and we may another one. Only God can determine that.

Elaine Miller is right. Only God determines what will happen. What we have is too many elites suffering from “God Syndrome” that believe that they can control destiny.
