Just imagine this: you whip up a timeless family recipe to share with friends at a pot luck, and everyone else attending the event works tirelessly to do the same. When the party finally starts, there is one bitter guest who shows up completely empty handed, and has nothing but nasty things to say about what everyone else brought.
You can bet your boots that ungrateful guest was probably a Bernie Sanders supporter, or in this scenario — the Vermont senator himself.
Despite being enormously popular with American youth, a deep analysis into the philosophy of the self-described democratic socialist reveals he has little in common with American values whatsoever. If anything, this admiration likely stems from the fact that Sanders routinely chastises the mystic “one percent” for all the country’s misgivings, with is sole solution being that we need to steal more money from them to pay for his outrageous policy proposals.
There is historical evidence to back up the implications in this image as well. According to witnesses who spent time with Sanders at a commune in the 1970s, the socialist was far more concerned with discussing politics with the people that lived there rather than working — something commune residents are expected to do.
Apparently, Bernie Sanders isn’t even that good at being a socialist at the local level. We shutter to think about what would happen if he was placed in charge of over 300 million people…
