When is an Assault Weapon Not Really an Assault Weapon?

Before we even mention the stupidity displayed in this meme, we want to mention one thing up front. There’s zero chance that the “assault weapons” ban that the House passed last week will make it through the Senate. Not even Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) will vote for this stupid bill. Manchin is out, too. It’s dead on arrival.

But it’s kind of scary that a bill this dumb did make it through the House. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was one of the most vocal opponents of the bill. And everything in this meme is true.

The Democrats banned the M-14 rifle in the “assault weapons” ban but allowed the Ruger Mini-14 to still be legal. If you don’t need to wear a helmet when you walk up or down stairs, you probably realize just how insanely stupid that is.

Once again, the Democrats have proven themselves to be completely ignorant of a subject that they are choosing to try to regulate. The banned M-14 is literally the same basic rifle as the Mini-14, but they don’t have a clue. They just want to ban stuff because they know if they ban and confiscate your firearms, that’s the easiest way to force your family to line up in front of a ditch before they do what they really want to do to you.

  1. It is remarkable just how ignorant some of our legislators really are. Some aren’t intelligent enough to sit on a HOA board. They can’t dazzle us with their brilliance so they baffle us with their bull crap. VOTH THEM OUT!

  2. Assault weapons are weapons that are used to assault someone. Like knives, hammers, baseball bats, tire irons, canes, and sometimes motor vehicles. More of these are used to assault people than guns. So now are you going to ban these items too? I mean by your own logic all these inanimate objects are assault weapons.
