Rasmussen Reports’ most current national 2024 presidential election survey, taken just before the former president’s arraignment previously this week, finds him with the largest advantage yet over President Joe Biden.
While it is unclear whether Biden will compete for re-election or when he will make his choice, the president is trailing behind his predecessor in the survey by the largest margin to date. In a hypothetical matchup, Trump leads by 47 to 40 percent of probable supporters, with 11 percent stating someone else and two percent undecided.
The most recent survey is a reversal from February when Rasmussen Reports did a 2024 head-to-head nationwide poll that showed Biden winning 45 to 42 percent in the hypothetical matchup.
Trump appeared in New York on Tuesday for his hearing, where he pleaded not guilty to 34 crimes before State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, just days after the survey was taken. This accusation comes after a Manhattan grand jury decided to indict Trump the previous week for his alleged involvement in paying “hush money” to porn actress Stormy Daniels. According to reports, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has requested Judge Merchan to conduct the hearing in January 2024, in the midst of the presidential primary season, when Trump is vying for re-election.
In a hypothetical contest, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), a probable 2024 presidential contender, also topped Biden, according to the survey. Biden’s possible opponent in 2024 had a 46 to 38 percent advantage over him, while 12 percent named another candidate and 4 percent said they were undecided.
When Trump and DeSantis go against Biden, the survey discovered a sizable disparity in support. Ten percent of Republican supporters chose someone else if DeSantis was the candidate in 2024, compared to only five percent who preferred someone else if Trump was the nominee in 2024.
The survey was done with 971 likely voters in the United States on March 30 and April 2 and 3. The survey had a three percent margin of error and a confidence rating of 95 percent.

I like Trump and DeSantis very much.
But, in my opinion, we need Trump this time around, as I feel he is the only candidate that will truly fight, tooth and nail, with the corrupt establishment / deep state.
DeSantis is a very likable governor, and he is willing to fight for what he believes is right.
But, I do not believe he has the sheer will, the determination, or the “balls”, to take on the corrupt establishment / deep state.
I just feel that the opposition they would pose, would overwhelm him.
But, if Trump and DeSantis would work together, I believe that the two of them together, could clean out the swamp.
It is ESSENTIAL that we clean our own government of the rampant corruption.
I do not believe that these United States can survive, without cleaning out the swamp.
Look at what’s happening now with Russia, North Korea, China and the Ukraine.
This is all due to Soros, the Clintons, Pelosi, Shumer, Obama, and a host of other corrupt Washington politicians.
I would absolutely love to see what I believe is the dream team: Trump as President, with DeSantis as his VP.
This would guarantee the security and growth of this country for the next 12 years effectively, because it would setup DeSantis, to slide nicely into the presidency for the following 8 years. 2028 – 2036.
I worry that the left / the Democrats / the Clintons will try to make Trump commit suicide, just as they did with their other 57 close associates.
If we have a very strong VP in place, that likelihood of this happening decreases significantly.
We NEED a rock solid dream team in place for this next election cycle. The 2024 elections.

I’ve been to a communist country and a socialist country and it’s not a pretty picture. I’m a veteran and I hope that a lot of veterans are reading this. I took the oath five times during my career in the Army to support and defend the constitution, the American people and the American way of life against all enemies both foreign and domestic and I would never believe in all my years that we would have to do battle with our own people to keep freedom alive.
