Top Republican Essentially Says He Is Fine With Starting WW3

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) remarked on “Fox News Sunday” this week that he is open to sending US soldiers to Taiwan.

“I’d like to start with China,” remarked anchor Shannon Bream. “You may have heard about what Reuters is calling a stalemate in the Taiwan Strait. You have served in the Air Force. We noticed a few weeks ago that a four-star general predicted we will be fighting China by 2025. On the broadcast, Chairman McCaul stated the same thing. Where do you believe we are? Where is this going?”

“I think they’re setting the stage for a possible blockade of Taiwan,” Graham stated. “This Communist Chinese Party will put us to the test this year as well as next year before the election.”

“We need to aggressively train Taiwanese forces,” he stressed. “We must reintroduce missiles into our submarines. Biden will not do it. The military has requested that the cruise missiles be placed back in submarines as the Russians did. More forces are needed in the region. If you accomplish those things, you might be able to deter a blockade.”

When asked whether he favors deploying US troops to Taiwan, Graham responded, “So the question for Congress is, should we have a defense agreement with the island of Taiwan? No, we don’t. Should there be one? But, yeah, I’d be willing to employ the American forces to defend Taiwan if it was in our national security interests.”
