There’s not much substance to this meme, but we got a chuckle out of it anyway. It’s a play on the classic running Simpsons joke, in which Bart prank calls Moe’s Bar. And since Donald Trump has been a character on The Simpsons in the past, it fits perfectly that he’d prank call Moe and ask for “Lesko Brandon.”
It’s the cheer that has taken America by storm ever since an NBC reporter tried to gaslight viewers at a NASCAR event a couple of months ago. She claimed the crowd was chanting, “Let’s Go Brandon” for the winner of a race, when they were clearly chanting a more potty-mouthed statement about Joe Biden.
The chant now breaks out at college and pro football games across the country, at protests, and on children’s school buses.
It was pretty hilarious when the Associated Press and NPR both did investigative pieces on the chant a month after it started, only to discover that — *gasp!* — crowds are not actually cheering for a guy named Brandon!
