New Biden Approval Poll Is Even Shocking To Us

Less than two weeks after he publicly declared his desire to run for re-election, President Joe Biden’s overall popularity ratings have dropped to a new low of 36%, according to a study published on Sunday by the Washington Post.

The Washington Post reported on a survey done in conjunction with ABC that “Biden’s overall approval scores, however, are just one part of a wider and largely unfavorable assessment of him as being a candidate for reelection.”

Between April 28 and May 3, the survey was conducted. The sample size was 1,006 American adults, and the margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

When asked who performed a better job managing the economy, 54% supported former President Trump, while just 36% backed Biden’s policies.

Along with the declining overall approval rating, the Post-ABC survey revealed that only approximately one-third of Americans think the current commander-in-chief is mentally fit for the position.

On respondents’ views of the candidates’ physical fitness for the job of president, Trump defeated Biden 64% to 33%. Regarding having the mental acuity to do his duties as president efficiently, Trump again defeated Biden 54% to 32%. However, the results were reversed when it came to credibility, with Biden defeating Trump 41% to 33%.

A staggering 77% of independents with Democratic leanings want the Democratic Party to choose someone other than Joe Biden as their nominee. The percentage was 58% among adults who lean Democratic. Democrats were evenly divided on whether to nominate Biden or someone else, 47% to 47%, with 6% stating they had no view.

More respondents indicated they would likely or absolutely vote for the Republican instead of for Biden in a hypothetical 2024 general election battle with Biden as the Democratic Party contender.

45% of respondents said they would absolutely or likely vote for Trump in a Trump vs. Biden contest, while 38% said they would definitely or likely vote for Biden. In a DeSantis vs. Biden comparison, 42% of voters said they would most likely or certainly support DeSantis, while 37% indicated the same for Biden.

“It’s depressing in that the coalition that supported Joe Biden’s election is now dispersed, notwithstanding the extraordinary numbers we saw in 2020. According to The Hill, Democrat political analyst Donna Brazile remarked on ABC’s ‘This Week’ “that they should be concerned.”

The former DNC chair also expressed grave reservations about the poll findings, saying, “They are still incapable to get a really good, powerful message to the American people that focuses not only on their accomplishments but where they would like to take the country.”

“They need to get up and take a look at those statistics, I reasoned as it kept me awake.”

  3. A very good example of what the country is going through right now is “where the likes of ABC, CBS, and NBC during the briefing by the House Oversight commitee this morning?

  4. This country needs to replace all left leanIng democrats we need to push law and order not wojeness. We also need to stop worthless spending on a green agenda that only gives us a 10% return..the world is not going to end in the next decade unless we keep Democrats in power.
