MAGA Republicans Prepare For Huge Border Security Moves

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) remarked on Fox’s “Faulkner Focus” on Monday that Republicans “have to get a little bit of religion” on migration and also that GOP lawmakers should have worked harder to codify the enforcement of Title 42 into law thru legislation.

Roy anticipated that repealing Title 42, along with other Biden administration policies, would increase the number of people at the border, and stated that Democrat congressional leaders intend to utilize migrants for political objectives.

“But Republicans, too, need a little religion,” he continued. “We presented legislation during the spring of 2021 to ensure that Title 42 is codified, and it took me an entire year of badgering my own GOP colleagues to bring us to the place where we currently have 212 names on a release petition to push Rep. Yvette Herrell’s (GOP-NM) measure to codify Title 42 and guarantee that it is followed. Where had our leadership gone? Why wasn’t it whipped by Whip Scalise (R-LA)? Why did our executive team not move it? This is the reason we’re wondering what we must do in order to use all of our tools, including the power of the pocket book as well as our tools in DC, to demand that this government perform its duty to safeguard the United States border. We must force it down their throats.”

Why are Republicans dragging their feet when it concerns border security? It appears to be exactly the same reason they were opposed to Trump in 2016 and just marginally supported him in 2020. Why do they wish for America to be predominantly white?
