Liberal Hollywood Hit With The Worst News Possible

In July, the number of people who watched cable TV fell below 30% for the first time in history. This is bad news for left-leaning Hollywood, which has used the “affirmative action” of TV for decades to keep up its bad, political, and divisive shows.

Hollywood is about to get hit in the fat, cocky, Nazi face with the truth:

Nielsen says that “in July 2023, the overall share of Americans who watched cable TV fell to a new low, falling below 50% of all TV use in the U.S. for the first time.”

“At the same time, streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube made a record-high 38.7% of all U.S. TV viewing. This is the highest share of streaming services ever recorded in Nielsen’s The Gauge report. Overall, people watched 0.2% more TV last month, and those under 18 watched 4% more.”

“In July, the cable marketshare went under 30% for the first time. It lost a full share point, putting it at 29.6%. Use of broadcasts went down by 3.6%, or by 0.8 points. The number of people who watched public TV was down by 5.4%, and the number of people who watched cable TV was down by 12.5%.”

Nielsen says that less than half of the entertainment Americans watched came from standard sources like linear TV, broadcast TV, and cable, which includes some satellite providers such as DirecTV. Where did those people go? They did not go outside, though. Overall, more people watched TV in July. They chose to go online instead. Either we’re using a streaming service like Netflix to watch TV or we’re fooling around on YouTube.

But, but, if more people are watching TV, isn’t that great for Hollywood?

Nope, not at all.

Cable and satellite TV has in the past been the one thing that has kept Hollywood in business for almost 40 years. Instead of paying to watch a specific thing, Americans paid $150 a month for a huge package of entertainment that they never watched. And since we paid for and supported channels that we never even watched through our cable bill, Hollywood had the funds to afford to keep low-rated, left-wing news networks like CNN, Disney, the Comedy Channel, and more running. Even if you don’t watch those channels, you pay for them when you get cable TV.

But that study shows that people are dropping their cable contracts and going online. Hollywood is out of luck because they can’t play their rigged cable TV game online. Individuals will now just pay for the channels they watch. This is quite different from cable TV, where they are paying for a hundred channels they don’t watch. At last, merit counts again. Once cable TV dies, which it will do within ten years, Hollywood will only be able to make money based on quality, by giving us one or more streaming services we are willing to pay for.
