Liberal Hollywood Has Had This Problem for a Long Time

We seriously can’t even remember the last time we went to a “new” movie here at Facts Not Memes. Movies have just gotten too tiring, predictable and boring. Hollywood only has two plots left that they recycle over and over again: Hatred of Donald Trump and his supporters, and “science fiction” movies which are really just the screenwriters working through their “Daddy” issues.

Think we’re wrong? Here’s proof:

“Contact” from 1997: Jodie Foster flies to the other side of the galaxy to… talk to her dad.

“Ad Astra” from last year: Brad Pitt flies to Venus to… talk to his dad.

Every JJ Abrams “Star Wars” reboot film: Maaajor “Daddy” issues.

“Avengers: Endgame:” Green space lady has “Daddy” issues with the purple guy.

“The Martian:” Three-quarters of the way through the film, Matt Damon suddenly sends his dad a video to talk about his FEELINGS.

“Interstellar” with Matthew McWhathisname: This one was totally different – Dad flies across the galaxy… to talk to his daughter. Super original!

We get it, Hollywood screenwriters: Your dad didn’t really love you even though you were special. Now can you please work out your personal issues somewhere else and maybe come up with an entertaining idea?
