English laws regulating knives continue to be the subject of extreme mockery on the internet, and not without good reason.
The wave of memes targeting the absurd laws come in the aftermath of action taken by London’s left-wing mayor Sadiq Khan, the first Muslim to hold the post. In responding to an apparent uptick of crime involving knives, Khan began using the same language regarding lives that Democrats in America use when referring to guns. Now, young adults may seriously face difficulty in purchasing kitchen knives — we’re not kidding.
“Only cowards carry!” has become the refrain of leftist Londoners convinced that simply confiscating things will make problems involving them vanish into thin air.
This should serve as a dire warning to Americans watching the gun control debate devolve before their very eyes. While a move to bump up the minimum age for purchasing a firearm may seem harmless enough, it’s important to remember that the gun-grabbing left will not and cannot stop there.
