Hunter Biden’s Forced To Hand Over Possibly Incriminating Documents

Republicans have increased their investigations into the roots of COVID, government censorship and overreach, and the alleged corruption of Biden, Inc. after regaining control of the U.S. House.

Rep. Jim Comer (R-KY) has been leading the battle on a number of these fronts, including the financial activities of Hunter Biden, in his capacity as chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. As RedState previously revealed, Comer was pressing the Treasury Department for information regarding transactions with the Biden family even before entering his position as Chairman.

“The leading member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), has asked Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen why she hasn’t responded to his request for bank records.”

According to Comer, “On May 25, 2022, I wrote to you requesting information concerning financial transactions involving Hunter Biden and other Biden associates as well as family members that U.S. banks had flagged for reporting to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) via Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs),” he says.

Comer continued, noting that the secretary had missed a deadline for information on June 8: “The Biden Administration is limiting Congress’ access to SARs, and Committee Republicans are looking into whether this change in long-standing policy is driven by attempts to shield Hunter Biden and possibly President Biden from scrutiny.”

Due to the Treasury’s ongoing lack of cooperation, a hearing on “The Biden Family Investigation: The Treasury Department” that was scheduled for last Thursday had to be postponed. Comer requested a transcribed interview for this Tuesday, March 14th, in a letter sent to Jonathan C. Davidson, Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at Treasury, on March 7. In the letter, Comer noted Davidson’s refusal to attend the hearing on March 10th and the ongoing slow-walking of requested materials.

“Your letter, dated March 6, 2023, refusing to attend a committee hearing scheduled for March 10, 2023, has been received by the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. You already know that on January 11, 2023, the Committee asked the Department of the Treasury (Treasury) to turn over a number of documents that were in its possession, including a number of Suspicious Activity Reports. Treasury hasn’t given the Committee any papers or pertinent information nearly two months after making this request. Additionally, despite our repeated concessions detailed in our letter of February 24, 2023, Treasury refuses to provide a timetable for when such papers will be supplied to the Committee.”

“The Committee, therefore, requests that you, in your capacity as Treasury’s Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, be available for a transcribed interview with the Committee staff at 10:00 a.m. on March 14, 2023, in Room 2157 of the Rayburn House Office Building.”

It’s not yet clear if the interview will take place on Tuesday. Comer has since issued subpoenas for the bank records of many of Hunter Biden’s business partners.

  1. What a waste of human flesh. These people don’t mind stealing from Americans or negotiating on our benefit already having been compromised themselves. You know nothing is going to benefit us. Someone answer this, When did it become alright for certain people who have our country in a wahmmo situation have the right to accept large sums of monies from enemy countries? Now they are saying that it extends to other people in the family, possibly the good doctor or Joey’s daughter. Anyway, this family crime syndicate needs to be brought to justice.

  2. I don’t want to hear the phrase we will hold them accountable! Nothing ever happens. Until someone prominent gets jail time I have no faith in our leaders. Please live up to your words and bring them down.

  3. Yellen has to be replaced, but of course with this Administration she would be replaced by some other incompetent person.

  4. Let me know when the hangings began for the Biden family. Until then I don’t care who get to go before Congress and lie. Big talk no action. Biden sits on his throne and signs orders that are against the constitution and the American people and no one does anything to stop him.
