How Come You Never Hear the Amish Call for “Car Control”?

This is definitely something you don’t hear the gun control crowd talking about…and we can pretty much guarantee it’s not by accident.

In 2013, just over 30,000 deaths were attributed to firearm-related injuries. Now, you might notice that’s not a whole lot less than the amount of auto-related deaths referenced in this meme — but the story completely changes when you account for the fact that over 20,000 of these were suicides.

Of course, this is not to downplay gun violence as a problem. But, it should call us to reconsider the strange solutions the political left is putting forward.

If we were to take what Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer and Nanci Pelosi are saying about guns to their logical conclusion, why haven’t cars been virtually banned throughout the country? Or, what about cars with an automatic transition? Aren’t those too easy for young people to operate?

We don’t follow this line of reasoning because it doesn’t make sense. The least we could ask from the left is to at least pretend to be consistent…
